Hot Isostatic
Pressing

FOR MAXIMUM COMPONENT QUALITY

OWL GmbH is your specialist for Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) and Powder Metallurgy (PM) in the post-processing of cast, additively manufactured, and other demanding metal components. We optimize your material properties for the long term — delivering greater safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Our
process:

By applying high temperature and isostatic gas pressure simultaneously, we eliminate porosity and micro-defects in metallic components. With HIP and PM/HIP, you gain clear competitive advantages in the manufacturing of complex parts.

Hot Isostatic
Pressing (HIP)

  • Density – pore healing at the micro level increases component safety
  • Fatigue strength – significantly improved mechanical properties
  • Series production capability – reproducible quality for AM, casting, and PM
  • Traceability – complete documentation in accordance with EN/AS 9100 and ISO 9001
  • Material versatility – suitable for processing titanium, nickel, cobalt alloys, steels, and many more

Powder Metallurgy (PM)
Efficiency Meets Innovation

PM/HIP enables the production of near-net-shape blanks with outstanding material utilization. By combining powder metallurgy and HIP, high-quality, contour-close blanks are produced from metal powder. Complex geometries, high reproducibility, and reduced machining requirements make this process ideal for series production — especially for hard-to-machine alloys and materials that are available exclusively in powder form.

  • Near-net-shape components with minimal machining effort
  • Production of complex capsule geometries
  • Use of exotic alloys
  • Efficient use of raw materials
  • High reproducibility
  • Processing of powder materials

Quality &
Certifications

OWL GmbH meets the highest quality standards for safety-critical applications:

  • Certifications: EN/AS 9100, ISO 9001
  • Process control in accordance with: AMS2750F
  • Traceability: Complete documentation and inspection reports
